"I was waiting for a field trial to begin at the Borderline Plantation and saw this wagon from Elsoma Plantation parked near the huge live oak in the front yard. Later when trying to get the size relationship of the wagon and the tree right, I had to have a friend park his truck underneath the tree and stand near it - simply because I couldn't quite believe that this tree was that big. The main focus of the painting is not the wagon, but the live oak."
