Venetian Plaster is an "old-world" technique of applying high-grade plaster with varying amounts of pressure to achieve certain finishes. After three coats are applied, it is sealed with wax. The plaster is 40% marble and can be tinted to any color under the rainbow. Textures can be anything from smooth as glass to rough as sandpaper. The smooth textures are cool to the touch and feel just like you placed a marble slab on to your existing wall.

The technique requires quite a bit of artistry and creative expression in order to get the right results. Loren Chantland has been working professionally with venetian plaster for many years, and has traveled around the country to specific homes and businesses, creating works of art on walls.
