This wood carving has just been sold, but you can commission a carving like it by Jack Tribble.
Wood carver/sculptor Jack Tribble is fast becoming one of the nation's most sought after artists, as evident by this new spectacular piece of two Bobwhite Quail - a hen and a cock - flushing from a cover of broomsedge. The cock is in flight and the hen is falling backward as she takes flight. It is on a 16' round black walnut base banded on the bottom with brass. It also has a hand-engraved, oval brass plaque that reflects the name and number of the piece with Jack Tribble's name on it. This is shown with no protective case, but you have the option of having a rectangular glass and walnut case to put over the piece, which is included in the price.
Each of the birds took Jack around 200 hours to complete. Click on the detail of the feathers and you can understand how this is such a one-of-a-kind and unique work of art.
$22,000
