"The song "View" came to me one evening while I was reflecting on the fact that we all struggle so hard to get recognition....climb the ladder....and at some point you gotta look around and just be present!  Does it really matter if life didn't take you where you thought it would?  Maybe the journey is what counted the most.    "Cliché" came out of the day-to-day battle of the songwriter trying to say something in a new way, but make it still familiar enough for people to hold on to.  I'm often writing music for people who really want the "expected" and we as writers either battle the cliché or try to make friends with it."
