Frank Benson (American, 1862-1951)
Frank Benson is one of the most famous and highly regarded painters in American history. This rare print is from the original that is owned by the Worcester Art Museum, Worcester, Mass. It was printed using the gravure process under Benson's supervision. 100 were produced.
"Eider Ducks in Winter" was painted in 1913 and is untitled unnumbered and unsigned. Printed below the picture is "From the wash drawing in black by F.W. Benson, Origianl in the Art Museum, Worcester, copyright 1925 by Foster Bros, Arlington, Mass."
This print is framed. The image measures 14 1/2" x 19 1/2"
